Energie, Leidenschaft und Soul gepaart mit unverwechselbaren Stimmen, Gitarren und Mundharmonikatönen sind die Zutaten des anspruchsvollen Rezeptes dieser beiden international bekannten Bluesmänner:

ROBERTO MORBIOLI, Frontman der renommierten Band Morblus und seit über 30 Jahren unterwegs auf den großen Bühnen Europas und den USA, und MARCO PANDOLFI, nicht minder erfahrener Blueser von internationalem Renommee durch Kooperationen mit großen Namen der amerikanischen Bluesszene.

Das Repertoire umfasst neben Originalwerken auch bekannte Blues & Soul Songs, die von Roberto und Marco mit großer Virtuosität neu arrangiert wurden, und die das Konzert zu einem Fluss machen, der das Publikum mitreißt und in seinen atemlosen Bann zieht.

Während Roberto auf zahlreiche Kollaborationen zurückblickt und seit mehreren Jahrzehnten mit seiner Band MORBLUS Furore macht, hat die Karriere der Sängerin mit äthiopisch-eritreischen Wurzeln erst begonnen. Mit Auftritten bei „The Voice of Italy“ und anderen Formaten machte sie auf sich aufmerksam und überzeugt mit aufregender Stimme und starkem Charisma.

Für MORBLUS haben „Featuring Artists“ bereits Tradition nach erfolgreichen Tourneen mit Lousiana Mojo Queen (USA), Diane Blue (USA), Justina Lee Brown (NI), Guitar Shorty (USA) und Willie J Laws (USA).

Die Zusammenarbeit mit DEBORA CESTI ist kein Zufall. Roberto Morbioli – exceptional guitar and bass player, singer, songwriter, and for more than 25 years the charismatic frontman of the Europe-wide renowned Band MORBLUS – reinvents himself! With a new sound, a new formation and new name, which he has already used in the USA for a longer time, the Veronese virtuoso opens up a new chapter of his career. Consequently, the new CD released in Febrary 2018 is called “From Scratch”, the twelfth album in his discography.
After many years of “Blues, Funk, Soul“(electric & acoustic) and projects with famous artists such as Guitar Shorty, Jesse Yawn, Lucky Peterson, Paul Orta, John Mayall, Roomful of Blues & Big Daddy Wilson, Roberto focuses on rougher, rawer notes and recollected the reduced and cleaner sound of his trio (guitar/bass/drums), according to his motto

Everything different, everything new? Not completely! What remains is the established mixture of slow and up-tempo songs, loud and silent notes inspired by various musicals genres. And of course the obligatory walk through the audience during his LIVE concerts when Roberto electrifies the listeners with his flirty guitar and invites them to a trip into his world.

The quintet line-up consists of the trio plus the fabulous „Boomer Horns“ with saxophone and trumpet.

The combination of these two exceptional musicians results in an explosive guitar battle. Despite their different origins, they have something in common: their life for Blues music and an overwhelming energy and passion for their vocation: making music.

Rob, born in Verona/Italy, and „The Real Deal“ Willie J from the Gulf Coast of Texas are masters of their craft and know how to capture the listeners with their virtuous guitar playing, driven by improvisation and creativity, and their solos performed in the middle of the audience.

Both musicians look back at cooperations with big names of Blues music, for example Preston Shannon, Roomful of Blues, Guitar Shorty (Rob) and as an opener for e.g. BB King, Etta James and Buddy Guy (Willie J).

Roberto Morbioli Acoustic Trio

Roberto Morbioli, born in 1965 in Verona, Italy, was raised in a family of musicians with his father and grandfather who ignited his early passion for music that would last for a lifetime.

Roberto’s musical career started at an age of 17 when he started playing in small clubs around Verona. After some years of practice, he decided to dedicate his body and soul entirely to this profession, and he founded his first – and only – band: MORBLUS was born. With this band, he is now looking back on a long story in the music business with 11 CDs/1 DVD, collaborations with numerous international artists such as John Mayall, Ronnie Earl, Martha High, Shakura S’Aida and appearances on famous stages in the whole of Europe.

In 2004, Roberto entered the cradle of Blues, the USA, where he recorded his live CD “I’m In The Blues” at Chan’s in Rhode Island and played at some of the best clubs and festivals.

Besides being an important guitar player in the European Blues scene, Roberto has proven himself to be a strong songwriter inspired by all different styles of music: Blues, Soul, Rock and traditional American folk music.

In the last years, inspired by the collaboration with Big Daddy Wilson, Roberto dedicated himself more and more to the acoustic Blues where he revealed new shades of his own musical personality and a previously undiscovered passion for this genre.

It was only in 2015 that he founded his acoustic trio and wrote a series of songs. Powerful songs about his artistic career but also pensive and very private ones about his affections and feelings.

The project ROBERTO MORBIOLI ACOUSTIC TRIO approaches to a refined and demanding audience, an audience that wants to listen silently to the subtle shades of the guitar and to every note that expresses passion and love for music and life.

The album ACOUSTIC ME was released in January 2016, 12 original songs written by Roberto Morbioli reflecting 33 years of his career in music.

Well known for their energetic sound, by fans and musicians alike, in Europe and beyond, MORBLUS has toured Italy with John Mayall, and Robben Ford and played the legendary B.B. King’s Blues Club in Memphis. Other collbarations include the Texas Blues legend Guitar Shorty in 2017.
